Inspired by transcultural experiences of the yearly celebration, family histories and migration, Chau-Morrow will show a new body of 2D and 3D work, including custom cakes (part artwork, part foodstuff). By recreating objects from memory and pairing them with collected items from interactions, Chau-Morrow re-contextualises objects of lineage to explore the nuances of replication and authenticity. With a focus on lived experiences and memory, 'the physical works become a marker of these times much like a postcard or souvenir'.
